Sri Lankan Cuisine
Sri Lankan Rice & CurryRice and curry remains the culinary king on Sri Lanka's food scene – but with fiercer flavours than in neighbouring India, and with sauces based on coconut milk and fiery chilli sambols.
- Joanna JJust today morning I had attended a cooking classes in this lovely place. First of all, I want to thank again the owners for accepting me as the only person :))) I had a great experience of cooking together with wife of the owner and have to say, curry's we made were the best I ate so far in Sri Lanka. I am a cook myself so I had quite some expectations, but it was one of the best cooking experiences so far. I learned quite a lot and classes were taking place in a lovely garden scenery with local, homemade grown vegetables. Don't worry, you will not leave this place with an empty stomach :) There is plenty to eat! Wish I had a chance to finish at least half of what was prepared 🤣 So delicious! Anyway, many thanks for this morning. It was really nice to meet you and cook together!:)
- Sarah MBy far the best experience I've had in Sri Lanka so far. We were greeted with an amazing juice, and the warmest smiles. The class was so informative and everything was locally sourced from their garden. The class was full of laughs and had to have been the best curries I've ever had. The family who runs it puts so much love and care into everything they do. I would recommend this to anyone in Ella. Even if you're not a huge cook, this class will leave you passionate and wanting more. Thank you!!
- Maren SReally traditional restaurant with a nice familiar vibe. The staff was just so friendly, prices cheap for this amount of food. Really fresh food and the first string hopper kottu I found. Just the smell and the lovely owners will fascinate you. Try it, you won't be disappointed!
